A FEBRUARY 9th VALENTINE PANCAKE BREAKFAST IN WEST PAWLET, VERMONT, By Janice B. Edwards, freelance writer
On Sunday, February 9th a Valentine Pancake Breakfast will be held, sponsored by the West Pawlet (Vt) Volunteer Fire Department. Breakfast is served at the West Pawlet firehouse from 7:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. All are welcome.
The breakfast menu includes regular pancakes as well as chocolate chip, blueberry and cranberry pancakes. Waffles, scrambled eggs, home fries, sausage and bacon are also available. Coffee, milk and orange juice are also available. Prices are $7.00 for 12 years and up, $5.00 for 5-12 years and free to children under the age of 5 years.
The West Pawlet fire house is located on Route 153 (Main Street) in West Pawlet, Rutland County, Vermont. It is a handicap accessible site. The West Pawlet Volunteer Fire Department is a non-profit and donations received are greatly appreciated by the department. Profits at these breakfast events are dedicated for the department’s equipment and training needs.
