The Northern Vermont Regional WEB (Workforce-Education-Business Food System Partnership) is hosting an educator planning session on May 25th at one of two beautiful outdoor locales to be decided based on registrants.
The Vermont food system is a local, diverse, and knowledge-rich industry which can be incorporated into any subject-based classroom or school project. From best small business practices to recipes for food staples, Vermont food can be an engaging and community integrated cornerstone in any curriculum.
-What are some of the resources available to make planning a food system lesson easy for educators?
-What local businesses and community organizations would love to present to your students?
-What are the steps to making community/work/experiential learning part of your next year's plan?
..are just a few conversation starting points!
Please join us to enjoy sunshine, local snacks, and great conversation with your fellow educators, curriculum development experts, food system business owners, and workforce support professionals.
Who should attend?
-Administrators, Support, and Classroom Teachers from Pre-K to Higher Education who are curious about sustainable agriculture and food systems and how to integrate local knowledge into your school.
-Sustainable agriculture and food system business owners and employees who would love to get to know your local teachers and bring your knowledge into their classroom!
