I am reposting this to let people know that Chris's talk will be at the Kellogg-Hubbard Library.

What is the Status Quo and how does it shape the Israeli-Palestinian conflict today? What role do American Jews and activists in general have in supporting a peaceful solution? This and much more will be examined by Chris Whitman, (Senior Development Manager in the U.S. for The Abraham Fund Initiatives), as he gives a background history of the concept of Status Quo in regards to the Israel-Palestine conflict and what can be done to overcome it.

Chris has a Master's Degree in Islamic and Middle Eastern Studies from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, with a focus on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. He worked for numerous Israeli and Palestinian NGOs, on labor rights, human rights violations, women's leadership, advocacy and lobbying. He spent many years bringing together Palestinians and Israeli Jews in the West Bank to talk about reconciliation, justice and equality.
