MHS Livelihood Festival

Hello Everyone!

Montpelier High School Club Action is hosting a Livelihood Art and Music Festival on Saturday, June 9, 2018 from 5:30-9:30 at MHS. Dave Keller (soloist), A2VT, and Televici will be performing in addition to other talented Vermont singers and musicians. The festival will host activities for people of all ages, including games and face painting, and if you purchase your tickets in advance, you will receive a free slice of wood-fired pizza!

The MHS Livelihood Festival is being organized to raise funds and awareness for the Vermont Ibutwa Initiative and Spectrum Youth & Family Services. The Ibutwa Initiative provides healthcare, education, and work assistance to survivors of sexual and gender-based violence and their children in the eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo, a resource-rich country in Central Africa that is currently in a civil war comparable in scale to those in Syria and Yemen. Spectrum Youth Services provides health care, training, counseling, and housing to homeless and runaway youth in the state of Vermont. We hope to both provide aid for these organizations and shed light on the struggles they are aimed at solving.

If you have any questions or if you would like more information, contact me (kouckymatt@gmail.com) or Heather McLane (heathermc@mpsvt.org).

We hope to see you there!
-Matt K
