Bella Voce Women's Chorus Concerts This Weekend!

Past event
May 19, 2018, 7:30 PM

The Bella Voce Women's Chorus will perform twice this weekend - Saturday, May 19, at 7:30 p.m. at the Stowe Community Church at 137 Main Street in Stowe, and again on Sunday, May 20, at 3:00 p.m. at the McCarthy Arts Center on the campus of Saint Michael's College in Colchester. The Recital Hall is air-conditioned.

Bella Voce will "Sing Creation's Music," in a musical celebration of spring and the beauty of creation! Our chorus heads to Scotland in June, so we have wonderful music from the British Isles to share with you, including a Gaelic carol, a tune by Scottish poet "Robbie" Burns, the "Skye Boat Song," a Northumbrian folk song and the playful English madrigal "Fair Phyllis." You'll also enjoy music from Italy, Spain, and a robust Hebrew song of praise, "Mi Chamocha." Music by Vermont composers Gwyneth Walker and Richard Stoehr will round out our program. Laura Markowitz, violin, and John Dunlop, cello, will be our featured Guest Artists and will accompany us on several selections. We hope you will join us in this celebration of spring!

Tickets are $18 Adults, $15 Seniors and Students, and can be purchased at the door of each venue or in advance via Flynntix at http://www.flynntix.org or by calling 802-863-5966. More information about Bella Voce Women's Chorus and our concerts is available at http://www.bellavocevt.org
