Join Audubon Vermont biologists Margaret Fowle and Mark LaBarr this Saturday morning, May 19 (8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.) at Geprags Park in Hinesburg to walk the trails and learn about Golden-winged Warblers. Geprags Park is managed by the Hinesburg Conservation Commission to provide favorable habitat for these birds whose numbers have declined significantly throughout New England in recent years. Vermont happens to host the greatest number of these warblers. If we are lucky, we can observe warblers up close while Mark and Margaret net and band them.
Rain date will be on Sunday, May 20, at the same time.
This event is free and co-sponsored by Audubon Vermont and the Hinesburg Trails Committee.
