Free restorative circle training Saturday in South Newfane
Restorative Community Justice of Southern Vermont (RCJSV) will host guest trainer Gray Fisher,to give a free restorative Circle training on Saturday, May 19 from 11am-3pm at the Old Schoolhouse in South Newfane.
The practice of a Restorative Circle, as developed by Dominic Barter, is a community-centered process for exploring and transforming conflict. The process helps us understand what conflict is trying to teach us. Through the voluntary practice, participants discover how to listen and understand each other and take appropriate action. They are supported by reflective listening and guiding questions asked by the host.
Gray Fisher first encountered restorative circles in Bellows Falls in 2014, and has been a student and teacher of the process ever since.
The training is free. Please RSVP to rcjsvt@gmail.com or call Dan DeWalt at 802-348-7701.
