Free Workshop with Grow Your Own

Grow Your Own will host a hands-on workshop on learning how to identify and cook up wild edibles on June 2 starting at the Center for an Agricultural Economy office at 140 Junction Road in Hardwick at 11:30. Participants will share a meal and chances to taste and try various wild plants. Erin Rosenthal and Lucian Avery will lead the workshop, which will go until 2:30 p.m. including the meal. Grow Your Own is a project of the Center for an Agricultural Economy, the Hardwick Area Food Panty and NEK Kids on the Move. Its mission is to increase food independence, better health and wellbeing through shared knowledge and experience. Workshops are free and open to the public, but you must reserve a spot in order to participate. Space is limited. Children are welcome to participate. Day care is available for younger children if arranged in advance. We can sometimes provide transportation as well if requested in advance.
