Millions Missing Rally

May 12, 2018, 1 to 3 PM

Millions missing is a worldwide rally day to bring attention to the need for increased acceptance, funding, and research for Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS).

May 12th from 1-3 pm in front of City Hall on Church Street in Burlington, VT

ME/CFS affects 4,000 Vermonters, 2.5 million Americans, and 20 million people worldwide. It is an incredibly debilitating and life changing illness that leaves many of its patients housebound and bedbound. ME/CFS is widely misunderstood as being an illness that makes people "tired." However, it is an illness that effects multipe systems of the body, causing them to shut down and not function properly. The symptom list is long and severe.

On May 12th in front of City Hall on Church Street in Burlington, VT we will be rallying along with the rest of the world to try to change the stigma against this illness and to ask government leaders and health professionals for acceptance, research, and funding for this illness.

Many folks cannot attend the rally due to this illness, so we will be having a display of shoes and stories to represent the #millionsmissing.

Please come support us and meet some of the people who are all too often invisible to the world due to this illness. Thank you!
