Coming up Thursday on Goddard College Community Radio - growing interest in growing cannabis in Vermont, and why Planned Parenthood is suing the Trump administration to preserve affordable birth control and reproductive health care.
9:00 - 10:00 am
Planned Parenthood of Northern New England says 7,800 women in Vermont get birth control and reproductive health care through the federal Title X program, and the Trump administration is changing it in a way that threatens access to health care. Lucy Leriche, Vice President of Vermont Public Policy, will explain why Title X is important and why Planned Parenthood is suing.

July 1 is the effective date of new legislation that legalizes growing and possessing small amounts of marijuana. That's inspired a flurry of activity, including this weekend's Vermont Cannabis and Hemp Convention in Burlington. Keith Morris of Willow Crossing Farm in Jeffersonville and Prospect Rock Permaculture will give an overview of upcoming public events and a quick primer on growing your own cannabis—including perhaps how you can do it with the plants under the care of professionals.
