Jenni Johnson Returns to the Tinmouth Old Firehouse this Saturday, May 12
Jenni has come back to the Firehouse many times, and she always delights a full house. This trip will be Saturday, May 12 at 7:30 PM. She's a widely traveled jazz singer whose roots are in Vermont. Her full, smooth voice offers an ideal format for her collection of American jazz classics, as well as, blues, swing and funk music. You will be mesmerized by her unique style and versatile renditions. She'll have you smiling from your souls, while your feet dance happily to the beat. (This concert is on Saturday, not our usual Friday.). Johnson says she's still learning how to use her instrument, the vocal chords, with each performance. She has performed the song "Moonlight In Vermont"" around the world in places such as Yaroslavl and Rostov in Russia, Paris, Montreal, and, of course, Tinmouth. In addition, she has sharpened her musical skills with opportunities working with national jazz/blues musicians from New Orleans.
The Old Firehouse is at Mountain View Road and Vt. 140 in downtown Tinmouth, between the current firehouse and the Town Office building. Doors will open at 7 PM. There is a suggested donation of $10 to $15, 90% of which goes to the performers and the rest to the town for upkeep of the Old Firehouse. Home made desserts, coffee and tea will be available. Donations for them will help support community activities.
