Come hear delightful Mother's Day Weekend concerts by the Middlebury Community Chorus, Saturday evening, 7:30pm at the Brandon Town Hall and Sunday afternoon, 3:00pm on the Concert Hall stage at Middlebury College's Mahaney Center for the Arts.

80 singers with conductor Jeff Rehbach and pianist Tim Guiles present "Moonlit Nights and Sun-filled Days." A mix of classical, popular, and traditional music includes Hansel & Gretel's "Evening Prayer", "Awake the Dawn" from 'Der Meistersinger' and "Behold the Sun" from Haydn's 'The Seasons.' From African and American traditions, "Agoro Yede" (children's games played beneath the moon) and "Yonder Come Day" from the Georgia Sea Islands. Also, lullabies by contemporary composers Gwyneth Walker and Daniel Elder alongside lyrical choral arrangements of Cole Porter's "Night and Day", Lennon & McCartney's "I'll Follow the Sun", and Dolly Parton's "Light of a Clear Blue Morning." The concert finishes with a flair: Copland's "The Promise of Living" and Ola Gjeilo's "Meridian." We hope you'll join us at these performances!
