Old North End Pop-Up Neighborhood Greenway

At the Department of Public Works, our priorities are safety and accessibility of public spaces. Join us at the corner of Loomis St and N Willard St for a pop-up demonstration of a corner curb extension and to discuss the upcoming Neighborhood Greenway for the Old North End. Curb extensions are low-cost ways to calm street traffic and reduce the amount of time for pedestrians to cross a street. Safer streets benefit everyone. Neighborhood Greenways are a new project that will make it safer and easier to walk, bike, and manage stormwater in neighborhoods that connect community destinations.

If the weather cooperates, we will be there on Wednesday, May 9 from 4:30-6pm to demonstrate the new curb extension and talk about the upcoming Neighborhood Greenway for the Old North End neighborhood! If the weather does not cooperate, please be on the lookout for us next week, May 14-18.

Wednesday, May 9, beginning @ 4:30pm (weather permitting).
Rain date: next week.

For additional information on the proposed improvements for this neighborhood, or to sign up for project notices, please visit the project website at www.burlingtonvt.gov/DPW/Old-North-End-Greenway.
