On May 22 (Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's birthdate) at 6:30 p.m., Manchester Community Library welcomes Barry Deitz, who will look at the life and times of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, the man who created Sherlock Holmes and then could not escape him. Deitz will examine the evolution of the character Sherlock Holmes and at how, over the past 130 years, other writers, actors, artists and filmmakers have re-imagined the Great Detective.
Back by popular demand, this is the fourth lecture that Barry had presented for the Library.
