May 19: Wardsboro Curtain Call Presents Toney Rocks

Past event
May 19, 2018, 7 to 9 PM

On Saturday, May 19 at 7 PM, Las Vegas musician Toney Rocks takes the stage at the Wardsboro Town Hall and Café. Folks attending this first show of the 2018 Wardsboro Curtain Call Concert Series will not only be entertained by soul-stirring acoustic music, but they will also help to support Wardsboro Fire & Rescue.

Named one of the "Top 10 Acts to Watch" by The Las Vegas Weekly, Rocks plays guitar, ukulele, and piano and sings in a masterful voice. Lyrics from his original compositions are introspective and sophisticated, and Rocks appreciates the opportunity to take his audience on an emotional journey.

Raised by his talented mother who worked in music, Rocks grew up in Hampton, VA. He came to acoustic Americana after spending some time producing dance music and working as a DJ. His epiphany arrived one night when he realized he really wanted to play instruments, so he turned to the guitar and the rest is history. His gift for playing stringed instruments definitely proves his cool poise and self-possessed passion.

Toney Rocks will certainly deliver a memorable concert and Wardsboro Curtain Call is especially excited to have him play the first concert of the series.

Proceeds from a 50/50 raffle, sales of WCC merchandise, and donations to the 'Refreshment Jar' will benefit Wardsboro Fire & Rescue.

Doors open at 6:30, music begins at 7 pm. Admission is $10 at the door. BYOB.
