Please Join Elise Schadler, Technical Assistance Coordinator with the Vermont Urban and Community Forestry Program, for a tree identification refresher workshop which has been rescheduled from December 2017. This workshop is for anyone who wants to know more about how to identify trees in their backyard. Participants will apply leaf arrangement and leaf structure definitions, use identification keys, and learn to differentiate between Vermont tree species. This workshop is inspired by a new book on tree identification called A Beginner's Guide to Recognizing Trees of the Northeast by Mark Mikolas. Please bring along your favorite tree identification guide(s) if you have them!

Where: Shelburne Town Offices
Cost: Free! Hosted by the Shelburne Tree Advisory Committee
