Lovers of the mountains and fermented beverages can enjoy a great evening out to benefit Mad River Glen’s Naturalist Program on Valentine's day. Bring your date and join brewer and naturalist Sean Lawson for a hearty buffet dinner and cash bar with three varieties of Lawson’s Finest beer followed by a Naturalist slide show. Embark on a full moon snowshoe ramble at 6:30pm with renowned birder and Vermont State Parks Naturalist Brian Aust before dinner to make the evening complete! Dinner service starts at 7:30pm and features chef Michael Witzel’s famous beef stew made with Lawson’s maple imperial stout and locally sourced ingredients (featured in Vermont Life magazine), bread, salad, and dessert. Following dinner, MRG’s Naturalist Program presents “The Nature of Vermont” slide show with images and stories of the Green Mountain’s wildlife and flora in four seasons. Tickets are $30 each and include the guided full moon snowshoe, dinner, and slide show. Snowshoe rentals are available at no additional charge. Proceeds benefit the Naturalist Program.
