Much has been reported about Facebook in the news lately with the misuse of users' data by third party vendors. The fact remains that Facebook, with its 2 billion users, is a treasure trove of data for advertisers and companies interested in reaching very specific audiences. Finding these niche markets, in a responsible manner, using Facebook's tools for advertising is a cost effective way to find new customers, grow business revenue, and promote products and services.
Lamoille Economic Development Corporation is offering a business skills workshop on "Niche Marketing to Consumers with Facebook", Tuesday, May 22 at 9 am to 12 pm at Green Mountain Technology and Career Center, 738 VT 15 W, Hyde Park, VT.
The workshop is intended for businesses that have a Facebook business page and would like to promote posts from these pages using the numerous marketing tools available in Facebook's Ad Manager. The person who manages the business page, as an administrator, will learn how to manage their ad accounts, create and edit ads, and access reports. Those who have never advertised on Facebook will find this part of the workshop particularly helpful, and those who have experience advertising on Facebook, can ask questions about ad formats, placements, budgeting and more.
After learning the basics of administering the Facebook advertising account, the workshop will focus on the various ad formats and target audience creation. There will be discussion of the various marketing objectives, including branding, engagement and conversions. Using Facebook Pixel on a website to measure and optimize campaign performance.
The final topic covered will be creating custom audiences. Identifying how and when to use custom audiences, and the various ways of creating the audience from your own data and customer profiles.
Elisa Clancy, LEDC's Marketing Consultant and owner of 3W Promotions, a full service marketing and web development company will teach the workshop.
A $49.00 workshop fee and preregistration is required.
