MIDDLEBURY GARDEN CLUB LECTURE: "Growing Berries and Fruit Trees in Your Own Backyard" by Marijke Niles
On Tuesday, May 8, 2018, at 1 p.m., at the Residence at Otter Creek, Marijke Niles, a Vermont Master Gardener and owner of Marijke's Perennial Gardens Plus in Starksboro, will inspire us to grow our own fruit at home. She will fill us in on culture, best varieties and wonderful recipes for tonics and preserves. This will include growing strawberries, rhubarb, blueberries, red/white/pink currants, black currants (cassis), and gooseberries. This program is open to the public and qualifies for Master Gardeners educational credits. The Residence at Otter Creek is located at 350 Lodge Road, Middlebury, VT.
