Please join us for a lively informational and free overview of Buddhism with Venerable Amy Miller at the Fletcher Free Library in Burlington. Venerable met Tibetan Buddhism in 1987 and has spent a great deal of time in meditation retreats, study, teaching and managing Buddhist Centers throughout the world (and one in Barnet, Vermont). Her talk on the 9th will focus on transforming negative emotions. The desire for happiness serves as a major motivation in our lives, yet we often experience obstacles to achieving it. This workshop identifies afflictive states of mind and explores a variety of healthy coping mechanisms that help transform everyday challenges into a more peaceful experience.
