Introduction to Tai Chi
Tuesdays from 10 to 11 AM: Starting May 15
Thursdays from 5 to 6 PM: Starting May 17
You can attend one or both sessions. The program will run for 8 weeks.
Danville Community Center (Old Bank Building next to The Pope Memorial Library on Rt. 2, Danville).
Tai Chi 8 Postures: This is a great way to start Tai Chi. Each week I will focus on one of the 8 sequential postures. Each posture is easy to learn and can form the basis for more advanced study. I will also teach the 8 Pieces of Brocade, a classic set of qi gong postures. Each class will also include stretching and strengthening exercises.
Tai Chi helps with your balance and concentration and is often considered a moving meditation. It is best if you can commit to attending all 8 sessions, but this is not mandatory. Classes are free to the public, though suggested donation of $5 per class is welcome.
