Ego-centric celebrity personality Sheridan Whiteside creates hilarious havoc as he slips on the ice and becomes an unwilling resident (along with Hollywood stars and starlets, insect specialists, penguins, convicts, and mummies) in the very conventional Messalia, Ohio household of Mr and Mrs. Ernest Stanley.
