There will be a special meeting of the Cambridge selectboard on Monday, April 30, for town government to learn about the Municipal Roads General Permit (MRGP) that is required by Act 64, the Vermont Clean Water Act. Rob Moore of the Lamoille County Planning Commission will lead the discussion. Town Clerk/Treasurer Mark Schilling published a link to the agenda in a post here yesterday.
The MRGP will be a significant challenge for all Vermont towns starting this year and continuing for at least the next 18 years.
Anyone who is contemplating being part of Cambridge town government in the next few years (e.g., selectboard member) might benefit from attending this meeting to learn what will be required of the town by the MRGP.
