When is it time to decide not to pursue more treatment options? How do we make peace with our own lives ending if it feels sooner than we might like? How can the process of saying goodbye deepen our relationships?
A Finished Heart - a special theater performance helps us explore these kinds of sensitive questions at the Shelburne Town Hall on Friday, May 18th at 7 pm.
In recognition of the Fifth Anniversary of Vermont's Act 39, Patient Choices Vermont is sponsoring the theatrical performance A Finished Heart, which invites audience members to have deeply meaningful discussions about these sensitive issues.
A Finished Heart is a powerful theatrical journey into profoundly meaningful and reflective conversations. Author, composer, and actor Eliott Cherry presents his deeply personal story of love, life and dying. The hour-long performance puts audience members in touch with the universal experience of dying, amid humor and loving conversations between Eliott and his late husband, Chris, during the final weeks of Chris' life.
Followed by Audience Reflection and Discussion
Tickets to A Finished Heart are by donation (suggested $10-$50 per person). Make your reservations online at PatientChoices.Org/Events or by voicemail at 802-391-9911.
