The final Vermont Virtuosi concerts of the 2017-2018 season feature mainly music of Maurice Ravel, including a four-part arrangement of his Mother Goose Suite and his Introduction and Allegro for harp, flute, clarinet, and string quartet. Flutist and artistic director Laurel Ann Maurer, harpist Rebecca Kauffman, clarinetist Karen Luttik, violinists Letitia Quante and Brooke Quiggins, violist Stefanie Taylor, and cellist John Dunlop will also play music by Vincent Persichetti, Rebecca Clarke, and the world premiere of Cesta domov, a clarinet quintet by Barre, Vermont composer David Gunn.
The concerts will take place in two locations: Saturday, April 28, 7:30 p.m., Unitarian Church, 130 Main Street in Montpelier and Sunday, April 29, 4:00 p.m., First Baptist Church, 81 St. Paul Street in Burlington.
