Holocaust Survivor to Speak of Hope, Friday
Event: Apr 27, 2018, 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM
During WWII, Ruth Kapp Hartz and her family were living in Nazi-occupied southern France, and their lives were saved by French villagers who hid them, at the risk of their own lives. Some of this time Ruth spent as a "hidden child" in a convent of nuns, with her Jewish identity kept secret. Ruth speaks extensively around the country about her experience and about the work of honoring her protectors. A beautifully written book, "Your Name is Renee," tells her story.
We are delighted to have Ruth come share her story at Beth Jacob Synagogue this Friday evening, April 27th.
All are welcome to join us for a potluck vegetarian Shabbat dinner at 6:00, to give a warm welcome to a special guest.
Or come at 7 pm for Ruth's talk. For more information, see our website bethjacobvt.org
