The Rev. Dr. Neal F. Fisher will give the message at the Middlebury United Methodist Church at the Sunday service on April 29. Dr. Fisher is a prominent theologian and author. He retired after twenty years as President and Senior Scholar in Theology at Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary in Evanston, Illinois. His latest book is Introduction to Christianity: A New Way of Seeing. Dr. Fisher and his wife, Lil, live in Wolcott, VT. Emma Lodge, a junior at Middlebury College, is the Fishers' granddaughter.
The service this Sunday begins at 10:45 and everyone will be welcome. There will be a reception after the service when people will be able to speak with Dr.Fisher about his message and the basis of religious belief in the 21st century and the future of the Christian church.
