The Vermont Chapter of The Nature Conservancy is hosting a volunteer event on Friday, May 4th as a jump-start to Green-Up Day. They will host a group of volunteers from 9:30a – 2:30p along Rotax Road in Monkton to the south of our Raven Ridge Natural Area. There will be snacks and Green Up Materials.
Green Up Day is May 5th. Come to the town hall during usual hours or contact me to sign up for a route and get some bags before the date or come to the town hall on May 5th between 8 and 1!
Another exciting feature this year will be a Pop Up Library (possibly themed) at the town hall for the event.
Bags can be left on the side of the road for our road crew to pick up, but we appreciate it if you can drop them off at the town garage (near our trash pick up area).
