The North Country Chorus, along with St. Johnsbury Academy's Hilltones, will perform W.A. Mozart's Requiem on Saturday, May 5, at 7:30 pm, at Bradford (VT) Congregational Church and on Sunday, May 6, at 3 pm, at South Church in St. Johnsbury.
Fans of the award-winning film Amadeus will recognize many of the themes in this work. Orchestral accompaniment will include organ, strings, and winds. The entire ensemble will be under the direction of Alan Rowe. with soloists Julie Drown and Fiona Sweeney, sopranos; Katharine DeBoer, mezzo-soprano; Phil Brown, tenor; and Lucas Weiss, bass.
The program will also include selections by the Hilltones and, in their debut appearance, the North Country Youth Chorus, led by Kaitlyn Bryant.
