Please join H.O.P.E. Works (hopeworksvt.org) for our 38th annual Take Back the Night March and Speak Out on Thursday, April 26th, to raise awareness about sexual violence in Chittenden County. The event will take place at 5pm at the University of Vermont Royall Tyler Theatre.
Take Back the Night is an international rally and march, organized in local communities with the purpose of unifying people of all genders in raising awareness of and ending sexual violence, with a special focus given to the recognition of survivor experiences.
The event will begin at 5:00pm at the Royall Tyler Theatre at UVM. The event will include a rally hosted by H.O.P.E. Works and feature a speaker whose work in our communities helps to end sexual violence. The march will begin at 5:30pm, winding its way downtown to Church Street, concluding at the steps of City Hall. Marchers will then be welcomed into Contois Auditorium for an optional Survivor Speakout.
An ASL interpreter will be available during the rally portion of the event, 5-5:30pm.
