This coming Sunday, April 22, is Earth Day. Honoring this day, Our church, St. John the Baptist Episcopal Church, has been asked to participate in activities to mark Faith Climate Action Sunday, by Vermont Interfaith Power and Light. And so we shall! So please mark the day — this Sunday, April 22 — and please come!
On this day:
• our own Steve Young will be giving a special talk on climate change, after the service;
• the sermon will be on the subject of faith-based earth stewardship;
• informative handouts will be available from Interfaith Power and Light (for example, a fact sheet on climate change) and from Efficiency Vermont (for example, a checklist of things you can do to conserve home energy use, and information on financial incentives);
• you will be able to sign up for a home energy consultation by Efficiency Vermont; and
• you will have the opportunity to sign an individual pledge to Tell the World 'We're Still in Paris.'
Please come and join in our church's observance of Earth Day — Sunday, April 22, 39 West Church Street, Hardwick, VT 05843
