WHO and WHAT: Now in its fourth year, non-profit EDIBLE BRATTLEBORO has scheduled clean-up days and planting of early seeds in two primary "help-yourself" sites. All who are interested in growing fresh, organic vegetables and fruit in and around town, and want to be part of our group of gardening angels helping both the community and the environment are welcome to join!

WHERE and WHEN: Come any time from 9:00AM to 4:00 PM and stay as long as you wish. Two dates and two locations:
Saturday, April 21, 2018 at the CO-OP, 2 Main St, Brattleboro, VT
Sunday, May 6, 2018 at Turning Point, 39 Elm St, Brattleboro, corner of FROST and ELM. Limited street parking on Flat Street or use the municipal lot – free on Sundays.

TASKS: Tasks at each garden include:
⁃ Clean up and pile debris/trash for hauling.
⁃ Renew compost and soil layer on the sheet-mulched beds.
⁃ Lay down wood chips on the CO-OP paths.
⁃ Set up pea fencing and plant peas.
⁃ Plant other suitable early seeds.
⁃ Create and fill several container gardens.
⁃ Put up new signs.
⁃ Hand out brochures and sign up new volunteers.

Fresh veggie snacks for all plus a seed planting activity for children.
