On Tuesday February 25 Green Mountain Animal Defenders (GMAD) will be partnering with O'Brien's Aveda Hair Salons and Institute for GMAD's "It's Hip to S.N.I.P". (Spay Neuter is Priority) fundraiser in honor of World Spay Day. Spay and Neuter is also known as "getting your pet snipped", so we are excited to be partnering with O'Brien's Hair Salons on this vital, life saving campaign.
The salons and Institute, located in Burlington, South Burlington and Essex Jct., are graciously donation 10% of their day's sales from February 25 to GMAD's Spay and Neuter Fund. Since 1983 GMAD has sponsored the spay/neutering of over 55,000 cats and dogs, and over 500 in 2013 alone. We hope to not only raise funds on this date but also raise awareness as to the pet overpopulation problem in our state. We encourage people to get their hair snipped (or any other service) on February 25, while at the same time supporting GMAD's spay/neuter program.
