The Bennington County Solid Waste Alliance will hold a household hazardous waste event at the Bennington Transfer Station on May 12, 2018 from 8:00am to 1:00pm. The event is FREE for residents of Arlington, Bennington, Dorset, Glastenbury, Manchester, Pownal, Rupert, Sandgate, Searsburg, Shaftsbury, Stamford, Sunderland and Woodford. Small businesses can also bring materials must pay disposal costs and must register by April 27, 2018. We will be accepting materials with labels that say CAUSTIC, TOXIC, CORROSIVE, POISON, FLAMMABLE, DANGER, WARNING, CAUTION, USE IN AN OPEN ENVIRONMENT or similar warnings.
