Garden Talk: Tomatoes

Past event
Apr 21, 2018, 12 to 1:30 PM

I know there are ice sheets covering everything right now, but how about getting together in a cozy greenhouse and talking about summer gardens? Maybe we can think spring into existence!

We are holding a little tomato learning session to help people choose the right tomatoes for their garden and grow healthy plants with big harvests. What do you like to eat? How much space do you have? Are you freezing or canning or dehydrating? These are the questions we ask when helping customers choose tomato plants.

In this Garden Talk Session, we will dig deep into our tomato plant list. You will learn about our 70+ tomato varieties and which are best suited to your garden. We will also go over proper planting technique, pruning, trellising, and disease prevention. Our wall of tomato plants can be a little intimidating at times, and it really helps to have some knowledge about specific varieties to choose the right ones for your garden and household.

We will provide a light lunch and a handout. $15. Please register on our website or just shoot us an email to let us know you are coming.
