The Norwich University Music Program is proud to announce the start of the "Shades and Hues" concert series, focusing on relationships to certain colors and interactions with them across the musical spectrum. The first concert is simply entitled "Blue", featuring the Concert Band and Campus Choraleers, performing light classical selections, Broadway as well as jazz compositions.
The concert will feature pianist Alison Bruce Cerutti on George Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue using Ferde Grofe's timeless arrangement. The Band will also premiere a special arrangement of the soundtrack from "The Last of the Mohicans" written specifically for the Band by noted organist Carl Hackert, from Ballston Spa, New York.
The concert will take place on April 28th at 2PM at White Memorial Chapel on Norwich's campus in Northfield. All performances by Norwich's Music program are free and open to the public.
