Elizabeth Wood to speak on philosophy and attributes of CSA's

You are invited to attend the Dummerston Historical Society's Quarterly meeting and program on Thursday, April 19th at the Society's Schoolhouse on Middle Road in Dummerston Center. Business meeting will be at 7 pm, program at 7:30 pm. Farmer Elizabeth Wood will discuss the philosophy and attributes of CSA's in general, and in particular, the founding of her own farm, New Leaf CSA, on Dutton Farm Road in Dummerston. She is now growing over 6 acres of vegetables, herbs, and flowers for 100 member families. The farm relies on organic practices such as incorporating compost and biological pest controls. She never uses synthetic pesticides, herbicides or fertilizers or plants genetically modified crops.

Dummerston Historical Society welcomes all visitors-one does not need to be a member to attend. The building is handicapped accessible. Refreshments will be served. 802-254-9311
