Are you interested in graphic novels? What about designing and publishing your own?

The Varnum Memorial Library is offering a Graphic Novel Summer Camp for grades 5-9. We will explore the basics of drawing, storytelling, and publishing. The library will have art supplies on hand so that participants can discover their favorite medium.

How do I participate?

Space is very limited, so if you are interested, please send a packet that includes your story idea (which can be revised as the summer progresses); an example of your artwork; and a 1-2 paragraph essay on why you wish to take part to the Varnum Memorial Library, P.O. Box 198, Jeffersonville, VT 05464. You can also physically drop off the packet at our library at 194 Main Street.

This program is free to the participants and includes all art supplies, instruction, and snacks. This program requires a serious commitment to your project so please consider this before submitting an entry.
