Disability Film Festival

Past event
Apr 13, 5 PM to 9:30 PM, Apr 15, 2018

Dear friends & neighbors,

I hope you will join me this weekend, April 13-15th at Main Street Landing Performing Arts Center (60 Lake Street) for the Vermont International Film Festival's upcoming Global Roots Film Festival: Disability. The festival includes ten fantastic feature films and two shorts that will change the way you perceive people with mental and physical disabilities. There will be panels and Q&A's with filmmakers.

"Featuring award-wining documentaries, romantic comedies, action thrillers, and animated films from Israel, Hungary, France, England, Spain, Australia, and the United States are featured. Sex, love, politics, murder, mayhem, and artistry abound in this smorgasbord of delightful offerings. Children with Down syndrome trek the Himalayas, activists clamor for civil and sexual rights, people on the autism spectrum navigate relationships, an amputee pop artist performs, and the Blind Boys of Alabama sing out. " -John Killacky, Flynn Center
