The Catamount Community Forest Planning Committee is currently looking into the potential uses of the 400-acre community forest property. The Committee meets regularly to discuss a wide range of topics related to the public use of the property, with the objective to make recommendations to the Selectboard regarding the management of the property by June 2018. Our meetings are open to the public and we allow time at each meeting for comments and questions from the public. The meetings are held in the conference room at the Williston Police Department, 7928 Williston Rd. Agenda and minutes are posted at the Town Hall and on the Towns website. The next meeting is Monday April 9, 6-8 pm. We plan to discuss and develop recommendations for dogs at Catamount as well as trail and infrastructure maintenance.
