JANE LINDHOLM, HOST OF VPR'S VERMONT EDITION IS FEATURED SPEAKER AT UPCOMING FREE PUBLIC PRESENTATION
Celebrated and respected radio journalist, host, and commentator Jane Lindholm of Vermont Public Radio's award-winning Vermont Edition is the featured speaker at the upcoming jointly-sponsored Henry Sheldon Museum/Hawthorne Club public lecture. The free and open to the public event will be held Thursday, April 12, 2018, at 7 PM, at the Champlain Valley Unitarian Universalist Society building at 2 Duane Court, Middlebury, Vermont.
Jane has titled her talk: "Let Me Ask You This: A Decade of Interviewing Interesting Vermonters" and will reflect on her 11 years with Vermont Edition. Widely admired for her interviewing skills, listeners to Vermont Edition can count on Jane to ask incisive questions of her guests and callers, whether about local arts, politics, or pressing issues of the day. The recipient of regional and national awards, Jane is also the creator and host of But Why: A Podcast for Curious Kids.
Jane Lindholm graduated from Harvard University with a B.A. in Anthropology and began her journalism career in 2001, when she joined National Public Radio (NPR) as an editorial/production assistant for Radio Expeditions, a co-production of NPR and the National Geographic Society. During her time at NPR, she also worked with Talk of the Nation and Weekend Edition Saturday. Before accepting the position at VPR, Jane served as director/producer for the national program Marketplace.
