Join me for the Herbal Spa Day and Raffle Fundraiser for The Stone Cabin Clinic on Saturday, April 7th from 12-4pm at the Vermont Center for Integrative Herbalism (252 Main st. in Montpelier)! A great way to treat yourself to some much needed self-care and support a worthy cause at the same time!
The Stone Cabin Collective is an all-volunteer group of herbalists, massage providers, energy workers and laypeople who offer free bi-annual health services in the Big Mountain/Black Mesa area of AZ. We do this in solidarity with the Dine (Navajo) people of Black Mesa as they continue to resist massive coal and uranium mining operations, and for those in Black Mesa affected by the forced relocation policies of the US government. We organize two Elder Wellness Weeks a year, in the spring and fall. We provide services to about 200 people in a week. Our spring clinic is coming up in April, and we are currently working on making sure we have all the resources we need to pull it together! We tend to give out a lot of bulk herbs, salves, and capsules, all of which come from fundraising and donations.
This fundraiser at VCIH in Montpelier on Saturday April 7th from 12-4pm to raise some money for the clinic. There will be yummy snacks/drinks, footbaths, facial steams, massage, tarot readings, etc, as well as an raffle where folks can enter themselves to win locally made crafts and gift certificates to local businesses (including gift certificates for massage & acupuncture, hand crafted brooms and ceramics and beautiful herbal prints!)
