Solaris Vocal Ensemble will perform Carl Orff's popular work, Carmina Burana, this Saturday April 7th at the McCarthy Arts Center at St. Michael's College. The irreverent lyrics come from texts of 13th and 14th century monks on subjects ranging from springtime, love and drinking. This setting of Carl Orff's abidingly popular work - voiced by dual pianos, a full percussion section, chamber choir, and soloists - brings his Carmina Burana to life in a more intimate experience than is usually seen and heard, led by Artistic Director Dr. Dawn O.
