On behalf of all the residents of Wallingford, I would like to announce the following:

Wallingford Community Visit Day – Forums to Set Direction for the Future April 26th
Join your friends, neighbors, and fellow Wallingford residents to share YOUR vision for the future of the town. On April 26th, the Vermont Council on Rural Development will facilitate a Community Visit Day to ask ALL Wallingford residents about opportunities, challenges, and ideas for action for the Wallingford Community. This is the first step in a process of building priorities and addressing critical challenges before the community.

Locally generated forums topics will include Community Communications and Events; Wallingford's Identify; Recreation and Natural Resources; Restoring Historic Buildings; Main Street; and Economic Development and Infrastructure. Forums will begin at 2:30pm, 4:15pm and 7:00pm at the Town Hall and the First Baptist Church and a FREE Community Dinner and Celebration, catered by Sal's, will take place at 6:00pm at Wallingford Elementary School. Childcare will be available. VCRD was invited by the Town of Wallingford to facilitate this process in partnership with the Vermont Community Foundation. VCRD is a non-profit, non-partisan organization dedicated to the advancement of Vermont communities. In the past 20 years, they have worked with over 60 communities throughout Vermont to bring residents together through their facilitated and structured process to share ideas and move toward common solutions.
