Following Ed Barna's lead on the Middlebury FPF, I'd like to offer another music-related suggestion.

South Dakota native (and current Vermont resident) Rachel Ries will be performing on Saturday night at Brandon Music (62 Country Club Road, Brandon).

Ries, who has collaborated extensively with Addison County's own Anais Mitchell, is a wonderful vocalist and instrumentalist.

She's also about to release her third full CD ("Ghost of a Gardener") on February 18th and is getting ready to go out on tour.

Although the upcoming tour includes a stop in Burlington with a full band on February 28th, this is the perfect chance to see her in an intimate and casual setting.
