How do you go from writer to author? How do authors find publishers? What is a hybrid publisher? Should writers consider self-publishing their work? What about ebooks? What are the potential pitfalls, costs and benefits of each approach? How do you spot a scam? How do books get distributed to stores? How much do authors make? Do you need an agent? Where do you start?
Join best-selling Green Mountain author Megan Price in the Bixby Library's Otter Creek Room, every Thursday in April, from 6 to 8 PM (April 5, 12, 19 and 26) to learn about the revolution underway in the world of book publishing and how you can become an author. The final session will be reserved for attendees to meet privately with the author to receive individual assistance.
Space is limited. Please pre-register by contacting Maddy Willwerth, PR and Organizational Coordinator at the Bixby at maddy.willwerth@bixbylibrary.org
