National Volunteer Weeks is April 15-21
National Volunteer Week is a chance to recognize and thank volunteers of all kinds across the country for their ongoing dedication to their causes. From April 15-21, BAYADA Hospice will honor its volunteers for making a difference in the lives of their patients, and invites the community to join them in celebrating all volunteers!
That week, all members of the Rutland community are invited to a week-long celebration to honor those who so generously give their time to others. All events will be held at the BAYADA Hospice office at 190 S. Main Street and include:
Monday-Friday: Become a hospice volunteer! Anyone who completes a volunteer application at the office will receive a goodie bag as a thank you.
Tuesday/Wednesday: The office will be open until 7:00pm to take volunteer applications.
Thursday: It's Movie Night! Join BAYADA for a showing of Tuesdays with Morrie, a heartwarming film based on a true story about the relationship between a young reporter and his former professor, and lessons learned about how to live. Popcorn and candy will be provided.
Friday: Food, fitness, and fun! Join the BAYADA team and volunteers for lunch and great company from noon-2pm. And at 1:00, two fitness instructors on the team will lead a fitness class.
