Social Media for Writers

Past event
Jan 29, 2014, 6:30 to 8 PM

• Social Media: Tools for Writers with author of Animal Investigators, and National Geographic contributor, Laurel Neme, Wednesday, January 29, 6:30-8pm, $30 at the Writers' Barn
This workshop will help you learn how to use Facebook and Twitter more effectively to make connections with readers, inform and promote your own writing, and to build an effective author’s platform. In today’s environment, Facebook and Twitter are essential tools for connecting with your readers, shared interest groups, and experts in your field. You’ll come away with a clear understanding of the difference between the two forms of social media, and when to use one over the other. You’ll also learn easy ways to participate in social media while keeping your own privacy intact. Before the first class, participants should have set up both a Facebook and Twitter account and made at least three posts and tweets. (Help can provided ahead of time, if needed.)
Register online under Writing Workshops at www.windridgebooksofvt.com or email Kim or Lin@windridgebooksofvt.com, or call 985-3091 for details.
