Vermont Vernal Pool Monitoring Project Training at North Branch Nature Center
Saturday, April 21, 9:00 – 12:00 noon.

Interested in vernal pools and citizen science? Get involved in the Vermont Center for Ecostudies' new citizen science program, the Vermont Vernal Pool Monitoring Project. The workshop will begin with a presentation by Liza Morse, the ECO AmeriCorps Vernal Pool Monitoring Program Coordinator at VCE on vernal pools, vernal pool conservation, and VCE's new citizen-science Vermont Vernal Pool Monitoring Project (VPMon). We will then head out to a nearby vernal pool where participants will be trained to map and monitor a vernal pool according to project protocols. By participating in the workshop, interested attendees will be ready to go out and monitor vernal pools as VPMon citizen scientists, themselves.

Free; RSVP is required online, as space is limited. For more information contact NBNC at 802-229-6206 and visit us at NorthBranchNatureCenter.org.
