Please join us for CEDO's Open House and Community Celebration on Wednesday, April 4th from 4:00 to 6:30 PM in City Hall Contois Auditorium. The event will be an evening of food, fun, and awards while also recognizing the important work done to keep our communities safe, vibrant, and green. In recognition of National Community Development Week, we are highlighting the work done by CEDO and valued community partners with Community Development Block Grant and HOME funds for our most vulnerable residents.
A formal presentation with entertainment and awards will take place at 5:30 PM to honor and celebrate the exceptional professionals and volunteers who make our community great. The Neighborhood Planning Assemblies will also be recognized for being instrumental in shaping Burlington's neighborhood concerns for 35 years.
Featured Awards also include:
• The KEN SCHATZ AWARD was created in 2013 to honor those who have demonstrated exemplary commitment to restorative justice, community-based responses to crime and conflict, and helping people stay out of (or preventing their return to) the criminal justice system.
• The PETER CLAVELLE AWARD honors a professional whose leadership has advanced social equity, environmental stewardship, quality education, economic growth and vitality in Burlington.
